I feel horrible eating when...

When I see shows like "Dr. Oz" or whatever I see him educating often very rich wealthy looking people in his audience to eat the BEST, most healthiest foods out there, I cant help but to feel horrible and slightly resentful that there are many poor malnourished persons out there who have no means or access or even aware of nutritional foods he promotes to his rich fat audience wearing gold diamond necklaces.

Even worse, sometimes i cannot eat when I think of starvin marvin...you know, the usual "brown boy" or "black boy" we see digging for food or any druggadict individual who has not eaten in days...it kills me on the inside...i think of their brain fluid their protein levels, anything on a microscopic cellular basis, and im alarmed for their wellness, as an organism system that is failing...

so much that i "cut my share in half" when i eat i eat half or less anytime I eat until my belly is full i feel a tremendous amount of guilt that i got to eat today and someone else in the world did not

Anytime I see someone eat a full plate of food i just want to grab their food and yell YOU HAVE TO STOP EATING NOW!!! and in my mind give half to "x" poor person..

Is this normal?

And yes i am also the author of "Is it normal to want to feed skinny people.."

I don't think it is correct to want to take away others' right to eat just because someone else is starving. The way you are describing this makes it seem as though I am a bad person just because I am fortunate enough to eat properly. It's not my fault other people are starving. The world is an imperfect place, but I'm not going to starve myself because of misplaced guilt. I do understand your sympathy for them, even though I don't feel it so much myself (I am just not very much of an activist type of person, call me selfish if you will, but I do good just to get by right now for myself), but you sound a little obsessed to me. I think you should do what you can(and feel good about that), and learn to just accept the way things are a little bit more.

Dr. Oz's audience isn't always filled with rich people..aren't the tickets free?

Anyway, people shouldn't feel bad for being able to eat right and take care of themselves. Tell Dr. Oz to go feed all the people you're talking about. He's the one with the money. I watch him nearly everyday and on the episode yesterday, he basically gave a tour of his house. It's fucking huge.

Gmo was marketed at saving the third world, yet all it has done is contaminate seed and make companies like Monsanto mega rich due to being able to claim liability on patent claims. My point is, well, I didn't really have one, but I agree that money could be deflected to really truly assist those who need it.
