I feel bad when i say no, and it hurts them to say yes

when guys try to talk to me, even if they're not my type I'll still give them my number. I feel like im going to crush their spirits by telling them no. So they get my number, but when they call i dodge it. Most get the picture after the first day. Am i wrong, is this normal
