Just now I was playing GTA and I killed a man that wasn't even trying to kill me by accident. I felt bad about it, considering that you didn't need to kill them, and instead you could just beat them up. Yes, I know it's just a game but I still felt a little bad for a short while.
Is this normal?
Why are you playing GTA if you don't like killing random game characters?
The whole point of that game is to cause chaos.
I think it is normal. I feel bad if I am an evil guy in a video game...so basically even though I really only play rpg's, I play the same story line over and over. I help the NCR every time because I think the Legion are a bunch of evil assholes. And I can't join the Dark Brotherhood because I feel bad assassinating people.
When that Dark Brotherhood bitch said "your not leaving here until someone dies" I shot her in the tit with an arrow... 1 point good guys.
I'm conflicted, the legion are assholes, and they're trying to ban worship of talos on the other hand I'm a dark elf and the stormcloaks are a bit racist

I do also feel a bit bad killing enemies during a preemptive strike. A lot of the time when I'm playing Final Fantasy I end up either running all the time or wait for them to hit me first and then gang up on them.
No, of course not. Games are our way of deleting things like humanity. If you don't want to kick a puppy in the face, you have failed!
It isn't real but people still cry at sad movies so I guess it normal. If you are easily influenced by imaginary creatures and situations.
It's a video game. The people in the game are not real. Nothing in the game is real. You shouldn't feel bad about killing people on a TV screen who don't exist. That's the whole point of the game.
I think it's normal, but that may be because I go out of my way to save people in games. For example, if there are innocent NPCs or you play more than one character, I will sometimes restart the game and keep replaying it until the minimum amount of people die.
I get that to sometimes, I don't think violent video games makes people violent look at James Holmes, favorite game, Guitar Hero.
