I fail to be sympathetic

Whether my friends mother is ill, a cousins pet has died, or somebodies just been dumped by their boy/girlfriend, I just can't feel sympthetic.
I find it difficult to cheer people up, cause to be honest I don't give a sh*t.

Should I have more sympathy?
Is this normal?

You were born without empathy. Check out other members if your family. You'll probably find find more people that don't have feelings. I guess it's better than me feeling everyones pain. It's miserable.

Normal I don't know, but commen it would seem so I feel the same way I lack to emotions to feel for others.

Me too. No matter how much i like someone, i feel no sense of loss if they die or leave. I am almost sociopathic about relationships. Goddam

Yep, it's the same with me. My grandpa died and I didn't care. When was in the 6th or 7th grade a classmate of mine was stabbed to death I didn't even feel surprised. I felt sort of guilty for not being sympathetic, but got over in a few minutes.
