I eat less than my skinny friends but im not skinny..

why? im normal, not even thin just like ok shes kinda chunky but she looks healthy.. that kind. ugh, i calculated how much i eat its only 1,100 calories and i exercise 2 days a week(ive been in a gym for 2 years now).

my friend goes with me but shes always been skinny. shes 107 pounds at 5'5. im freaking 146 at 5'6. WHY???
why am i like 10 pounds away from being overweight??? im not fat, but im a size medium/large aka size 9 in pants.

why is this? we go to burger king and she downs 2 hamburgers, large fries and a coke while i only have a small side salad with lite dressing = less than 300 calories hers = more than 1000

WHY??? why am i stuck like this? i eat healthy.

i only eat veggies, fruits, thin bread only, no junk food, yogurt, all healthy! why am i so much bigger than her?

seriously, i went to her house to stay to sleep over last summer and she had 2 cups of icecream while i sat there watching cause i said i couldnt eat it. =/

why is this? why? why am i unhealthy and she is???!! guys even say omg what a hot bod. i get that once in a rare while but omg, why?

It may be because you're not drinking enough water. If the body is dehydrated it will not burn fat because it wants to store it. Make sure you drink 1-2L of water a day to stay healthy. It might also be that you will loose your extra weight later in life.

I know how you feel. Last winter I weighed 145 lbs and I'm 5' 7". I ate the same amount as all my skinny friends and exercised way more. I decided to do something about my weight, so I cut down to about 100-300 calories a day and started running 2 miles 6 times a week. I lost 35 lbs in 5 months!! I came back to school after the summer and realized that I still felt fat so I dropped down to 109 lbs. After that I shouldn't loose any more weight, no matter how hard I tried or how little I ate, I either gained weight or stayed the same. But thats when I realized that no matter how skinny I was I would always have low self esteem, I wasnt really fat. It was all in my head. You seem to be at a good weight and I have found that the less I worry about what I eat, the happier I am. And healthier too. I now weigh 118 and I am totally happy!!! However, if I eat over 500 calories a day I usually gain weight. Hope this helped

Because you need to eat to speed up your metabolism and to lose weight.

maybe you just have a slower metabolism. I had a friend just like yours in high school and she was just naturally skinny but in horrible athletic shape. when she got to college her metabolism slowed down and its caught up with her. just keep eating healthy and if your only working out twice a weak i would try working out more. If add some interval training to your work out the pounds will come off, trust me.

    WTF? size 9 at 5'6 isn't bad.

i'm about a size 6 in pants and only 5'2, and i don't consider myself fat at all. in fact, quite petite.

I'll repeat the good stuff: more exercise, more food (when you eat too little your body stores EVERYTHING) like lean protiens, fruits and veggies.

Don't worry, it could just be genetic. Many girls, like myself, can eat every hour and stay under 100 at 15. They will grow out of it. Think of your future and how you want your body to look and what you need to do to reach that.

Part of it is probably that you have a slower metabolism, and if you really eat that few calories in a day (which I highly doubt) then that's probably to blame. Starving yourself will totally slow your metabolism. Don't worry about your friend, focus on yourself. Eat lots of lean protein and fruits and veggies, and exercise more. I promise you, if you get 60 minutes of cardio in 5 days a week, your body will totally change. Good luck!

Everyone has a different way in which their body processes food. On a side note you should do a quick research..it's been found that a lot of the salads at fast food joints are more fattening than the burgers.

Clearly you need to change what you are doing. You could need more healthy fats in your diet (nuts, avacado, salmon) and if you have been doing the exact same gym routine for 2 years you need to step it up. More days and different activities. Do some research about weight loss.

Oh, and people saying she has a "hot bod" and all. That deals with confidence. Try to be more confident, and not best yourself up as much. The compliments will start flying to you!

    Hope I helped! =)

You don't sound big at all.

How old are you? Your metabolisms could be different. If you're maintaining weight then that's good.

You need to eat more though. Try eating atleast 1500 calories a day. You won't gain, I promise! Exercise a little more. More cardio, and lots of reps of small weights. That builds lean muscle.

Those unhealthy eating habits she has will probably catch up with her.
Make sure your diet is so strict that you'll binge on bad food later. If you want something sweet, eat a 60 calorie pudding.

I could go on for tips for days! I used to weigh 240, and I'm now down to 170. Your height too.
