I dont feel like to give him respect

me and my husband has been afected by few wrong decisions of hubby 's brother regarding financial matters..we tried to tell him so manytimes but he behaved really bad and was abusive..everybody in family due to our motherin law give him a special respect and nobody want to trust on our situation beacuse all are in backhome...my brother in law and his wife always keep on saying we help other people and we did lots of things for you but they never realized that what my husband did for them ...they always took benefit from us and always behave like thankless people....nowadays we dont meet them so often...no matter what other people say about him but i cant forget the way he insulted us..he just pretend to be an angel...i dont even think he is a good human being... Is it normal to think/feel this?
