I don't want to get to know you. get lost!

We live in an apartment building that used to be a nice place to live. Now the ownership has changed hands and it seems they are allowing minorities and gays to move in. We got one of each just moved in on our floor. It's bad enough that the wife and I have to work with these kinds of people at or jobs. Now we have to live around them. And they have the nerve to be friendly, like trying to get to know us. My wife thinks that the blacks do this so they can get inside our units to see what we have of value so they can steal. And I still haven't figured out what this gay couple wants. As soon as our lease is up we are out of here. We've been happy here for seven years. I'm just glad our daughter is grown and married with a place of her own. She is the liberal type who no doubt would have taken a shine to these people. Her husband too. Do you know they actually have black friends? Probably gays too, my wife says. It's normal for us to need to move from here, right? Our friends wonder how we can stand it.
