I don't use a nail clipper
I've always hated that awkward, empty feeling you get right after you clip your finger or toe nails. Plus I don't trust nail clippers from experience.
Instead what I do is use my own finger nails to pick at and rip off excess nail growth to the appropriate size. That way I don't get that creepy "I should have a fingernail there but I don't" feeling. Usually I save up my right hand's middle finger and my thumb nails to do the work since they're the most powerful and I end up figuring out the order I'm going to cut my nails in so I can also cut two of those three at the very end.
It usually leaves my nails in a very ragged state but they always grow smooth again. I'm in no way ashamed at this habit (It's actually pretty fun) but I just wanted to know how other people can relate. :]
