I don't understand why people get so angry over insults?

Is it normal that I don't understand why people get so angry over insults? A few examples:

Make me. So you want me to make you? Why do people get so angry over that?

Mother F'er. So I do mothers, what's so bad about that? It's even easier to insult the person back by saying you did his mother.

F you. I can't really f myself..

B'tch. Calling the person a female dog, okay..

The list goes on and on and I'm sure lots of you have lots of other insult words. Anyone else wonder why people get so mad and insulted by these words? I certainly don't understand.

    Honestly, most people have probably been told all of those multiple times at different points of their lives. Including me. Tbh. I never really gave two fucks what people said.

    But that's just me, not going to lie, I'm a heartless bitch if you anger me. If I have dirt on you best believe I'll use that to my advantage. So maybe that's why I'm the way I am with the whole "Don't give a fuck what you say" type of attitude in an argument. But either way, I never understood either lol.

    The whole respect concept goes out the window if you're already arguing. Obviously one person already feels disrespected enough to say either of those things. If you're joking...well that's that, if you're close enough to joke like that then it should be all good. If not then, let so and so be mad. haha.

    It's not the words, it's what it represents. It's a lack of respect towards you and some people don't enjoy being disrespected. Some people feel the need to put you in your place because they feel they'll look weak if they don't.
