I don't understand why everyone loves one piece.

I don't get it. I've seen some episodes of One Piece, but I just found it really boring, and I really don't find the style of the anime that appealing, I personally think it's ugly.

The anatomy in the art style is also awful,
all the females have stick-skinny waists and large breasts.
Everyone's mouth and eyes are too big.

Getting off the topic of the art style, I think the story is just overrated and boring, and it's been going on way too long.

I can name other shows that are MUCH more creative and better.
Paranoia Agent. Elfen Lied. Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
Those animes have better storylines, better characters, better art styles, and they don't go on for 100+ episodes,
they know when to end.

Does anyone else agree with me?

    it´s the kind of art style you either really love or hate (either way you gotta admit that Oda creates the hottest male characters)but, I'm also annoyed by the big breasted girls.

    The story on the other hand is really good in my opinion. It's an always expanding universe with lots of plot twists and reveals. it's interesting and you never know what to expect. that's why people like it. You can continue arguing about the story and characters forever, make your own theories and watch them come true or blast away.

    I started by watching the anime and I fell in love after episode #1 and caught up with the show in less than a month. I've been reading the manga now as well. I'm still in love and always will be.

    yeah the art style sucks. and honestly i think most people who dont actually know much about one piece pretends to be a fan just because everybody say it's popular. but sometimes it's funny enough that it's fun to watch. not that i keep up with it.

    sometimes it's cringe-worthy. you know, when a character cry? like snot-coming-out-of-nose cry and their mouth is like wider than their head crap. makes me want to punch them.

    When it comes to the art style I know that a lot of people don't like it for pretty much the reasons you stated. But the actual show/manga I think people like because it has interesting characters. I mean don't get me wrong I don't like how it has a ton of pointless arcs, but what actual arcs are important to the story can be cool. While I agree with you that there are other better and shorter anime out there, One Piece has cool enough fight scenes and the characters actually do get stronger and the bad guys become much more interesting as the series progresses.
