Another lesbian here, and I'm also your polar opposite. Nothing against men, there are a few who I can totally see as being attractive and relationship material, it's more about the problems men and women have understanding each other.
It's a common thing for women to feel the need to dress up and try extra hard and feel embarassed to even eat around men they don't know that well, and men will judge or at least be surprised by a women who admits to having any unpleasant bodily functions even if they know each other quite well, whereas two women who become close are usually comfortable talking about anything more or less from the start. Women understand each other's bodies and emotions.
I know it's mainly instinctive sexual attraction for the purpose of breeding, but I still can't quite get my head around how any girl can happily be with someone she's not comfortable with and who has a body and mind that work completely differently from hers.
