Ever since I was a little kid strangers have come up to me and told me how beautiful I am. I'm really sweet, loyal, and apparently I have the looks but for some reason men have never been attracted to me. I cry all the time because I am afraid that I will never get the chance to get married and have a family because I am always over looked by guys. I don't really believe in god but I pray constantly that a guy will give me a chance but they never do. If I got the personality, the looks, the loyalty what the hell am I missing? Is this normal for this to happen to girls?

    Whoa this sounds like my girlfriend!! lol When i first saw her I just was amazed at how beautiful she looked and I didn't have the balls to talk to her, only stare, but one day she started a conversation with me and from that point on I never looked back =) Its been a year now and its the best relationship i ever had! So i say if you like a guy take a chance and you make the first move cause you never know that guy really likes you and he just doesn't know what to say or do cause he never seen another beautiful girl like that ever in his life =)

    I think SassyFrassy's comment is a bit rude. But if it were the case, if a woman was "over-estimating" her appeal - by thinking she is hot stuff and appearing that way, that is a turn off. If I see a guy who acts like he is so hot and thinks he is - I am completely disinterested. But, it sounds like from the post - that is not you. I know a lot of men who are in their 30s and early 40s even who are gorgeous, very handsome, successful, generally happy - and single. Why? I don't know. I am 28 and single and like I said, don't get asked out unless I initiate the flirtation and take the first step. I have a son, so for me, maybe they think I am taken but I am not. I did modeling before, so I would not say I am ugly either - I am extremely down to earth and friendly. I guess you should just get involved in a group or activity that really interests you and you may find someone totally compatible. Good luck.

      Trust me i dont act hot. Im wayyyy too shy to do anything like that. I'll talk to a person if they talk to me otherwise...

    Yeah, I know the feeling. I mean I don't consider myself beautiful but I have seen far uglier people than myself in a relationship. I know that sounds cruel but I don't mean it like that. Those girls are probably more outgoing than I am. I'm pretty reserved when I don't know someone well and I think that it can come off as snobbish or just sort of cold. Perhaps you are just shy?

        You sound cute to me :) Many males misinterpret "shy" as being snobbed! Try being more forward and things will change.

        On the contrary, I think being a tomboy/goth will help you. After all you are just being yourself. When you do meet someone, they will be attracted to the genuine you and will probably share a lot of the same interests and values as you. Don't try and be anything other than who you are :)
