        what is normal? and what is this life that you speak of? when people tell you to get a life, it's not something that is real, it is just another way of saying they think that you aren't ambitious and should want to live like they live. the phrase itself is really pretty meaningless. maybe when they say it, they mean fuck off and go occupy yourself with something other than what they consider to be petty bullshit...
