well its the same situation with sex and alcohol etc everywhere,its human nature,many people dont have to dig the earth all day to get food etc to survive anymore,its the era of technology and state benefits here surely,so why not as well be a complete wank that a third of the british people are...the other third though is workaholics overworked overtaxed paying for their mortgages for 25years and having kids when they are forty...and theres a third of people who are not strongly those cathegories but sometimes fall into one or the other.its sad but not as sad as more deprived countries,so be strong dear,be a good example who you want people to be.x x x

i would say its normal because every country has their own stereotypes. for instance, i am an american, and i hate americans because a lot of them are patriotic and they think they're the best country in the world. it makes me want to stab two pencils in my ears.

You are so normal. I'm not British, but my boyfriend is. And he seems to feel the same as you. He's disgusted by all the filthy sluts that try to get into his pants. One girl actually sent him a text begging for sex while I was there. I know how he feels about loose women, so it just makes me laugh. However, from what I've heard of the UK...children don't have to try at school to graduate like we do in the states. (I'm not saying we're better. I'm a Texan and he have a pretty big drop-out rate, and I'm included in that)...but if there isn't a reason to push yourself, then people (and especially children and teenagers) won't. Fact of life. If you want to change it...be the next Prime Minister or something...

Part of the problem is that the UK is desperately class-ridden. Many upper (middle) class people are privately educated and are very snooty. Working-class chavs are very coarse, drink too much and hate posh people. Someone with good manners and education is often regarded as effeminate. There's no social cohesion. Just different social classes who dislike each other. On top of that, multiculturalism has failed completely. The UK is a broken society really.

This sounds like what they judge the US for. This world is doomed. Children are the future and the future looks bleak. "hole in the world and its filled with shit, the scum of the world inhabit it". The place is called public school. hole is becoming bigger and bigger sucking all the souls it can into its ilk. Its not just the Brits. I think its the overall mentality people seem to be getting now a day.
