I'm black and I think that you are all wrong. You hating your skin colour doesn't make a difference. Be proud of who you are, I am. Don't think of yourself as a white person, think of you as a person. Live your life, you won't change the world.

I think people should remember what Dr. King said about people being judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin!

Well, considering that we're all taught as kids, teens and adults that white people are responsible for everything bad in the universe, including rainy days, kittens dying and black people killing us and each other, forever and in perpetuity, combined with the fact that we're the only people becoming minorities in the countries our ancestors founded, combined with the fact that we used to be 35% of the population a century ago, and less than 10% now, combined with the fact that anything less than downright submission and despondency towards being disallowed self determination anywhere in the world, combined with the fact that we're being gleefully systematically erased, and everything we've built is being taken from us that we've ever had to ourselves in the past few thousand years, by our traitorous governments and impossibly greedy and cynically self-interested and parasitic international corporations via massive unstoppable Asian and African immigration to deflate our wages and worker's rights even further, combined with the fact that so much as questioning this process flags you forever with the stain of the Original Sin of "racism", and makes you the target of hatred by your own people... I really see no reason why white people should be happy in the status quo today.

So you'd rather be on the short end of the stick and be the one who feels the effects of prejudice? That's just stupid. Be happy you are fortunate and if prejudice bothers you so much, get off your ass and go out there and educate people about it. Lead by example and stop bitching because you are one of the fortunate ones.

I think it's annoying that people think it's acceptable to stereo-type and slam on white people and yet it isn't okay to slam on anyone else. Society acts like being white is a blank; an absense of a heritage.
Dude, if you want to feel better about being white, read up on European history. Develop a sense of self in your whiteness. I went to a public school that merely dismissed white people as the owners of slaves and the killers of natives. While those things did happen, there is definately MORE and BETTER things to be known about being of European ancestry.
