"Good girls go for bad boys."
I'm confused about the term "bad boy". Exactly how bad? An absolute goody-two shoes wouldn't be preferable but usually I go for those who aren't morons.
I'm the fairly quiet type, so I'm not sure why I don't relate to this phrase.
Most of the people that go for these types say this. Am I saying you do? No, but saying this doesn't make it any less likely.
It's a stereotype, like 'Men prefer blondes'.
I wouldn't worry about it. It's totally normal not to conform to a generalisation like this.
A 'bad boy' is a guy who has baggage and a fuck you attitude, who dresses and acts like they don't give a fuck. There are many who fit this description that don't beat up women and have a criminal record. People just like confuse badass with asshole. NOT the same thing.
As for why good girls go for them, it's because they realize that a bad boy will fiercely protect them, and also they feel the bad boy is missing out on an important piece of life by not being vulnerable, which they may be able to offer. A good girl is good hearted enough to know when someone deserves a chance that others don't give him.
As for why you don't, well it just isn't your preference.
"BAD BOY" IS SOMEONE WHO STEPS OUT OF LINE, IS IN TROUBLE ALL THE TIME OR ABUSIVE. Certain girls Fight find them mature and exciting.
I like intelligent funny nice guys, bad boys suck. You always have to bail them out of jail and they beat you if you forget to buy the cigarettes.
I'm not really sure if there's an actual question in your post, but I think the whole "good girls go for bad boys" thing is pretty retarded. I have yet to see one quiet, preppy, christian non drinking non smoking non partying girl go for a "bad boy".
Usually, people who are actually looking for serious relationships tend to look for people they have a lot in common with. The term "opposites attract" annoys the hell out of me, too. My boyfriend is my first and only love, and we have just about every single thing in common.
Who goes for someone they have nothing in common with, and who will never understand them?
Opposites attract in some ways; it doesn't mean you have nothing in common with them, it just means you complement one another.

I was a bit of a rough cunt at school & for some reason one of the most well behaved & nicest girls decided she liked me despite us obviously being totally different people.
This is at about 16 years old.

They mean men that break rules, are bad to their women, ride motorcycles, play loud rock music, etc.
