l too never gave too much thought, cried or got depressed about never meeting my father, as long as we have a loving mother we are still lucky. Being fatherless will still have an effect on our subconscious though and manifest in different ways.. like me having attachment issues and still sticking to my then bf even if he was a neglectful and abusive loser.
Honestly same. sometimes wished he's there though. probably because i'm a girl and i feel jealous of my friends with a really great father AND him showing up for graduation because i felt like the odd one out. but mostly because i feel bad for my mom playing both roles lol
