I just think it is unrealistic and i don't believe humans are supposed to be monogamous. I'm not saying be a slut either. I just don't need it to be fulfilled because I already am. I'm an inventor and writer and I like being creative. I love being free as a bird. I don't believe in the lie that that there's someone for everyone.
I agree with just about everything you said, ever since I got my heart broken. We're better off that way I guess. I see it as ending the cycle, and looking for something better.
Love lasts for a couple years then ends. The point of it is to convince people to reproduce and stick together long enough for the kid to take care of itself. Modern life can be so anemic that many people get hooked on shit, for some its shopping, for others its love. Disney movies targeted at little girls definitely don't help people develop healthy notions of relationships. Before the industrial revolution, the notion of love as we have it today did not exist, and still does not exist in many societies.
I ain't mad at ya, because I think the way popular media, particularly film and literature, glamorizes romantic love is very unhealthy for many single people. There's nothing wrong with people falling in love, getting married and living happily ever after, but it doesn't work that way for everyone. There's also nothing wrong with a person being happily and gratefully single by choice or otherwise. There's nothing wrong with a person enjoying the freedom that comes with living the single life.
I also don't believe that there is someone for everyone, it's an annoying lie that people tell others who are lonely. I think it's unhealthy for people to internalize that lie especially if they are lonely.
You seem to have a very realistic, healthy outlook on life. I really like that you live being free as a bird. Keep soaring like an eagle and find satisfaction in what pleases you. There will always be those that resort to name calling and try to make you conform to their "moral" code of decency. Screw them, and live your life for YOU!
