I don't believe in life after death......

I believe that when we die there is nothing.

I believe that there is no god.

I believe that everyone that does think there is something after death is extremely disillusioned.

I believe that life is just filling in time until we die.

Am I normal?

Yeah, its pretty normal (disillusioned isn't the proper word though).

I personally think that people who don't believe in life after death are delusional though (because of both my experiences and the high incidence of "spirits" and OBEs).

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though, although I don't know how you could believe that and not have a panic attack every time you think about dying.

Oh yeah, I think its kinda normal. I too think about life after death, and really wishing that I get to choose my new life or my new world. I have a dream about being a landowner in the middleages, but at the same time, I don't wanna miss out on the internet and cell-phones etc., even though it is really what makes us "modern" people stressed, because we all have to constantly be updated about whats going on in front us, next us and to your neighbours... I believe in afterlife, but not as one model or the other, but in something better and greater.

at least in our universe, The 2nd law of thermodynamics states that the universe prefers entropy(entropy - the measure of disorder in molecules). An organism has negative entropy since atoms organize themselves. it balances this out, in that an organism needs to consume energy to survive creating change and destruction in its wake. which is positive entropy, When an organism dies it is broken down again positive entropy (less organization)to negate the -entropy it had by existing. so when you die and you gain new life, to transcend as some would call it. Would be a violation of this law . Yes its perfectly normal

That's the fun thing about life. See now once everyone can realize how exciting it is to NOT know what's gonna happen after you die, we'll all be happy and learn to embrace death when it comes and not be all bitchy and crying and everything.

Well someone with black hair and cuts on their wrists once told me:
"Life sucks, and then you die."
So I punched them in the face.

    I really hope this helps.

Try this: Go outside. Get away from your computer. Sit under a tree and listen to the wind. Stay there for a while, fight your overwhelming feelings of boredom brought on by withdrawls from the internet and other electronic media that you're hooked on. Just sit quietly for as long as you possibly can and just listen to the sounds of the wind and the birds and the whatever is around you. Trust me, after a long enough time you will come to the realization that something greater than you, or any human, is at work here. Agnostics and atheists are lost in themselves and trapped in this lonely consumer world that humans have created to separate opurselves from the truth. Get outside. You'll see.

Or you can do the same thing and realize that something so great could be created from evolution and wide expanses of time. It's still as beautiful to me.

You're an atheist, I believe in gods, the afterlife, ghosts etc, there is evidence for both ghosts and the afterlife, people have seen ghosts, people have been to the afterlife.

I'm not going to play the religion card with you. I think it is very normal to believe anything that is so very different from our reality. However, you may find accounts about near-death experiences interesting. I work in a hospital and my pts often tell me about being declared dead and them being revived. They tell a similar story of going through a tunnel with a bright light at the end. The light is very comforting and they do not want to come back. They see relatives that died before them. Their lives are totally changed when they are revived. One book you can read is Life After Life. The nurses that work for hospice told me that when a pt is near death, they will see dead family members standing at the foot of their bed. It's interesting and happens all the time.

This is called "close-death syndrom". The Mind creates images when you die. If you don't die, you "revive" as you say it, you have the chance to remember this images. At 90% the mind is making images that have been told to do. So, because the mind has heard about "tunnels" and "bright lights" it does just that: tunnels and bright lights.

Yeah, it's normal. I think most people require scientific proof even if they don't think of it as such. What I mean is that most people don't actually accept the reality of something unless there's a good amount of support for it, with sensible evidence. So, yeah, given that it's perfectly normal to assume the simplest most uncomplicated answer.

nobody really knows what happens when we die until we die!!!so there is absolutly no fucking proof of anything!!i hate it when religous people try to tell me what the fuck is gonna happen after death!!!FUCK!i'd like to think we reincarnate or somthing but i wont know until i die.so believe what you will but hope for the best.or maybe whatever we think will happen will happen like the movie "what dreams may come"

Actually, no your thoughts are not normal. Being normal today is about believing in a deity and all the mythology involved with theism. However, that's not to say that you're incorrect in your beliefs or lack thereof. Just that its not *normal*.

even God himself remarked on the way he knows most people feel..."eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we shall die." a worldwide collective feeling wouldn't you all say? it will feel like that if you don't know the truth. the truth is when a human dies, they DIE. they return to the dust from whence we came. there we await a resurrection if we're worthy. the "little flock", 144,000 will serve as kings and priests with Christ as his "bride" to help him understand the human condition, the bride class being comprised of elderly men and women chosen from all nations and languages who have collectively experienced life in all its joys and woes. This knowledge will educated Christ on how to better shepherd and bless the "great crowd" those on earth who will live in a demon/satan-free world for a thousand years in complete peace free of sin, disease, war, crime, death, etc., for 1000 years, that is the kingdom we pray for in the Lord's prayer. during that time a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous will take place. those who died faithful to Jehovah and those who never heard of him. like whole nations of pagan tribes, nature worshippers, and the like, assigning holiness to the creation and not just the creator. these will be taught the truth. if they accept it, wonderful. if not they will be destroyed so as not to pollute the righteous new world longer than need be. then when the thousand years are up, satan will be released to tempt those who were born in the sin-free environment to see if their will to serve God is strong enough to be tempted but not give in. when the last sinner sins Jehovah will do away will them all as well as satan and all the demons. then, eternity will stretch out before mankind again. God will speak directly to man once more as his did with the first pair. and the paradise that they lost will finally be regained. eternal life was Jehovah's original purpose for man after all. why would he let satan change his mind about the eternal dwelling place of humans? He himself says that 'the world wasn't created simply for nothing but that it should be inhabited.' 'the righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will live forever upon it.' 'the desires of your heart shall be had.' there is life after death if Jehovah finds us worthy. but if not we'll remain as dust forever, forgotten. no burning hell. the proof i can provide no clergyman could ever refute. ever. they'll run home with their pointed tail between their legs.

I believe in life after death. I believe in God. If you go outside and think of how everything is so perfectly syncronized, how animals and humans work so perfectly, how can you think that something greater is not at work? Everything is so precise. There is nothing wrong with this world that we haven't done ourselves. I really hope you find God. =]

Im not really sure, we cant really know, i kind of hope so, otherwise what is our lives really worth, if there is no place to go after death then why even continue living, there must be some catch to it, but i cant really be sure and no one can awnser this question. So im not giving it any rateing.

I think this is what we all think deep down or subconciuosly - even very religious people. At the end of the day, no-one likes the idea that we may just become nothing after death and religion is a way of giving us hope and relief from the hopeless depression one might spiral into if we thought about it too much. Sad but it may be true.

Now, I believe in Paranormal activity, such as entities. But I dont believe in God. Now it may be hard to grasp but I believe that we were something in our pastlife and afterlife we are here roaming the earth to move on to a better place. I dont neccessarly think that its heaven.... Idk what it is but I believe that you still go somewhere else.... somewhere better. Does this make any sense?

I do believe that there is an abnormally intelligent lifeform that is known to us as gods, but I don't believe in heaven and so on, but I do believe that we have somme kind on an energy known as souls, that travel on, like if I die then a few moments later, a baby has started growing inside someone, and my energy is the thing that sort of made it live and develop, gave it life to be exact, like an electrical impulse, only stronger muchmuch stronger, as it is the energy of another lifeform

Very normal. It's a very mixed feeling you experience the day you realise that what you were raised to believe (i.e. God) is most likely a myth. Was for me anyway.

Without making this an "is there a god" debate, I have to say that the thought of there being absolutely nothing after death is a little bit unromantic.

I would like to come back as a tree. Maybe an oak tree or some such. Won't happen though, will it?
