I don’t understand how people can love their pets?

I really don’t understand how people can care so much about a pet that they spend large amounts of time and money on it or that they would be extremely upset when it dies.

One of my friends phoned in to work saying she couldn’t come in because her dog died and she was too upset, my opinion of her immediately went down.

I grew up with a dog but I wouldn’t say I loved it or considered it to be one of the family and I’m not sure I even felt anything when it got ran over.

Small animals such as dogs and cats are repulsive to me and I really don’t understand how people can love them. At best they’re a slight inconvenience and at worst I want to kick them to death.

It's not normal to not understand how people can love their pets so much. But it's not normal to think less of them for it or to not care if your own pet dies. And that last sentence sounded psychotic.

I was kinda on board with what you were saying about people spending excessive amounts of money on their pets bc I've seen people literally giving their dogs fiji water. But then you got onto the kicking part and lost me. I hope you never have to watch someones dog/cat or be in contact with animals in general, who knows what would happen.

Researchers conducted a study in Sweden by looking at the country’s National Patient Register from 2001 to 2012. They found that dog owners experienced had a lower mortality rate of 33% from strokes and heart attacks. Loving your pet is healthy.

You are certainly not normal. If I were in a burning building, and you were on one end, and my cat was on another I would get my cat, and that would be that! Seriously, I have more care for random stray dogs, and cats on the street than people like you. If I were leaving a sinking ship, and I had the last lifeboat I'd rather share it with all the ship's rats than someone who just hated animals like yourself.

I hope that you are as forthcoming about your distaste for animals in your day to day life as you have conveniently, and anonymously been here, because like, it or not there are more animal lovers around these days than people who don't love animals.

You say your opinion of your friend who lost her dog immediately went down after she called in sick to work, and I say that my opinion of people like you is always low. I've found through my many years of life experience that people who don't like animals tend to be lazy, selfish, and have a genuine lack of empathy. I used to be friends with a girl who didn't like animals very much, and she was very codependent, emotionally needy, demanding, and lacked the ability to admit to any of her wrongs. With her everything was always someone else's fault, she was always the victim, and couldn't live without a partner, or partners.

I don't hate that old friend of mine, but my friendship with her could only go so far, because of not only the lack of a love for animals on her part, but all also because she lacked the virtues which come along with a love for animals. One time I was helping my friend, at the time, move apartments, and I was waiting outside her place then along came this guy with two huge, fawn colored pitbulls who were friendly as can be. By the time she showed up I was one the ground playing with the two pitbulls, and you should have seen the look on her face! Ask me if I cared what she thought!

If you kick any animals in front of me I'm gonna hit you with my stun gun to the neck, give you a few good kicks, and see how you like it.

Like I said before there are more animal lovers than not these days. Dogs, and especially cats are at the top of the heap. There are plenty of people in this world, especially in the United States who will always choose animals over you.

I am cuddling and kissing my new kitten while reading this. I originally found him wandering aimlessly closed to my house all alone and took him back home yesterday. Some irresponsible dumbfuck must've abandoned him. It happened a lot in my town. From reading your post, you could be the same as this kind of irresponsible dumbfuck who would be heartless enough to do shitty inconsiderate thing like this to such an innocent, helpless creature.

I loved my first dog like a son, but my current dog really gets on my nerves. You just have to find the right dog and/or cat, but if you can't then just stay away from them, as I'm sure that'll keep them safe.

I see 2 sides of the coin, like take a dog for instance; I see the loyalty in them, the playfulness and simply puppies are cute little barstards. On the other side I can see, why would anyone want one? They are so stupid, they just run around making noise, they just bark at every little thing annoying neighbors and its stupid.

They are better than humans. Atleast better than you.

  • I’m not disagreeing that people can spend way too much on their pets, but there’s no justification for harming them.

Everybody is and feels different, some people are just not very empathetic, like you probably.
And people that hate humans or like is said, very sensible empathetic human beings often tend to love animals.
There are so many different characteristics, but also of course that mixed with what you grew up with. I for example put cats over everything, especially one of my cats because it feels like it’s the only thing I can love. Humans mostly only gave me pain, but my cat gave me comfort when I cried and I knew that he’d never be able to hate behind my back. I trust him and he forgave me for every time I didn’t treat him right as a child and always followed me to school or only listened when I called him. He doesn’t follow, cats have quite unique and free characters, that’s why I know it’s so sincere. And well, because of him there’s my love for cats
But yeah mostly it’s your ability to sympathize, empathize and change

I also think from analyzing, that you have something against weakness and are a bit conservative, a very harsh and organized person.
And somehow from somewhere there is jealousy? I can’t quite name it, maybe it’s a small subconscious part of yours that wanted to actually feel sadness when your dog died or something. You normally don’t notice that and for sure will say it’s not like that, but eh that’s my guess

    • The first part is pretty accurate 😂 but the second part not so much. I accept how I feel about things and there’s no point wishing to change something when it’s not in my nature to change it

That’s why I Said u won’t notice it or deny it:) Well it’s just a guess, you can feel and think about things differently, but deeper down it can come from somewhere else. It’s a possibility, I don’t know u so I can’t say for sure.
But yay for the first part being right😂🤙🏻

As a zoophile I find this extra horrible considering my affection for animals is a bit stronger than the average pet owner.

But to the point animals are like family to people, like achild. To normal people anyways its complicated

Look at my name haha, I love mammals. But yes yes I did. And I encourage you learn the difference between us and beastiles if you dont know already. They are rapey we are not. It's a moral grey area as many on here have come to see.

I have not, I have so far only known one animal that was interested in me as well but never had the privacy to be with him.

Animals do gain pleasure from sex just like humans and yes they can consent. You just have to pay attention. So far only 1 has ever been interested in me, only 1. I'm not saying its likely I'll ever get to experince intimacy with a animal but if the opportunity comes up with a consenting animal that I'm interested in as well I will most definitely

            • I have an excellent idea for an experience for you then!
First you bite onto the concrete curb of a street, and then I let my horse step on the back of your head. Thrilling, yeah?

Animals can’t consent, neither can children.
Your morals are off and I hope someone will take care of that. Here’s hoping you just need educating, but at your age you’re probably too far gone

Yes there is sexual attraction to animals. Just as I have sexual attraction towards humans.

In all the ways I would find a man attractive that I meet i also find animals attractive. 2 dogs of the Same breed could even be my favorite breed I'll only find one attractive or neither. It's a small part physical mainly emotional and personality.

People who practice beastiality however its all physical. All they care about is there own pleasure like the average pedophile and it's disgusting. They are tapists and yes should be condemned.

People like me who are zoophiles or practice zoophilia to be more technical want and let the animals be just as happy as us. It's like those stories you hear of people marrying there pets. Yes there's sex of course there is but sex is such a small part, it's an intimate close relationship between human and animal in the same way you see humans and humans. It's a beautiful thing really
