I do not sleep at all anymore

Over the last 3 years i have been sleeping less and less. it is that simple. when it started it was once every few days i would not be able to sleep.

but now is is to the point the most i sleep is a few hours every few days. i would say a total of 4-6 hours total weekley. but its not like i have bags under my eyes or are hallucinating.

i don't drink or do drugs. i live a healthy life. and i am not ever tired. or fatigued. it is like i am sleeping my full 8 hours. but i am not sleeping at all.
i just don't sleep.

has anyone been through this?

    Hiya,

There must be something wrong somewhere; if not now, soon. I got really ill from lack of sleep – I got terrible headaches, got really depressed, snapped at everyone and threw up about once a day. Turned out I had Sleep Apnoea, but because it mostly affects men and I’m female I didn't think I had it. It can be very dangerous if it's not treated, esp. if you do a lot of driving.

When I get stressed out I stop sleeping fr days on end at all. I've found two remedies to use if it gets to three and a half days-

    1. An unhealthy dose of melatonin

    2. Chugging an unhealthy amount of energy drinks until you crash (usually takes me four hours to crash completely)

My main issue is when I do sleep. I'm partially aware of my surroundings. Also I don't remember any sort of dreams but will at times jump completely out of bed because I feel like I'm falling all of a sudden. Been known to talk, walk, rearrange things etc. on occasion too. If I sleep more than a 4 hour span I wake up with massive headaches as well. One thing after another!!!!!

Yeah, definitely see a doctor. That's not normal or healthy, and it's very possible treating it could improve your quality of life.

Yeah, I have. Personal record was thirteen days with an average of 15 minutes per night, and often none at all. Some of the symptoms were nightmarish, if you'll pardon the irony. I still have insomnia frequently (nothing at all on Monday night) and have found nothing that works to cure it. I think it may be stress because I had the best sleep in years over Christmas. Hope you find some way of dealing with yours. It's a horrible thing.
