I do lists for everything

I'm afraid to forget something so i try to do it all at the same time.
I have lists for everything: movies i want to watch, what i want to do on holidays, what i want to buy, which site i want to check, what i have to study and stuff like that.
I get so frustrated when i forget something or can't do it, even if i don't remember it while doing the list.

Don't worry. I've even made lists of "topics of conversation" to talk to my crush, so..

Yes it is normal. I have Aspergers syndrome(and i'm not saying that you might have it aswell), so one of the perks of this is that i'm very tidy and organized about EVERYTHING. If i'm not organized and following my daily routine, i feel like everything will be a chaos. So, don't worry!

I tried doing this but it got boring too soon. The only lists I make now are to-do lists on my phone.

Of course its not the same...I make those to-do lists in anguish. Making lists isn't so bad...it helps keep track of your life, right? Or maybe you're just bored.

Same here. I've been doing this for well over a decade. As strange as this part might seem, in a box in my closet I still have the lists I made every year of every single song I've listened to in that particular year. The other day I looked at those lists and laughed at how ridiculous my music tastes were back then.

I remember that song. I used to do lists of songs that I disliked back then. That song was on that dislike list. XD

Yep. I was a dork back then and still am now. Except back then I had all the angsty, dislike for everything attitude. lol. I was such a brat back then.

Maybe it's a tad OCPD, but definitely normal. I do the same thing. Do I ever complete the items on my lists? I wish.

I'm also a big-time list-maker. I don't know if it's relevant information, but I know for me it's definitely a part of having obsessive compulsive disorder. I don't mean to say that if one makes lists, they necessarily have this disorder, though, of course. I also like the categorize, or prioritize after writing inital lists. For example, I'll go through a flyer for the grocery store I go to, write down everything I want in order of when they come up in the flyer, then I will re-write the list in order of the way I will walk around the store (it's just efficient that way!) So I'll start my list with produce, then whatever I need in the bakery, then mean, then canned goods or whatever in the aisles. I make lists for SO many things. I'm honestly quite embarrassed about it.

Why not try making a flow chart instead of a list?
