I didn't have a girlfriend back in high school, is that normal?

It seems everybody at my age (20) at least had one relationship and at least one relationship in high school. It is not fair. I never had a girlfriend nor a first kiss and I'm still a virgin. I feel ashamed of myself. I think the reason I don't have a girlfriend because I'm picky and shy. I've been bullied for not having a girlfriend back in high school. I also have aspergers.

    To have a girlfriend is not an achievement. People really should stop thinking about it in this way.

    Asperger's certainly wouldn't make it easy and keep in mind a lot of people lose it unromantically. Work on being not so shy. Start small. Like a simple hey. Or and observation. It doesn't need to go anywhere it's just to help you break down that wall of anxiety.

    Another thing is that is might be better to get in touch with other people who have asperger's.

      So you saying is that I should go out with and eventually marry a lady with aspergers?

        I'm not saying you have to. But maybe you'll be easier understood. And finding someone like that is a struggle for anybody.
