I'd teach ya to drive, c***

How do you define romance, IIN?

I recently had a man offer to teach me to drive. I have an incredibly over-dramatic and irrational fear of driving, as in... there are sound effects and panic attacks involved.

I thought this was the most romantic shit ever. Yeah, I've had guys buy me flowers and take me out to fancy schmancy eateries, but having a guy offer to hold your hand and have the patience to deal with your crazy...way more romantic, in my opinion.

He thinks I'm weird to be touched by this gesture.

is it normal that I think this is super-sweet?

And how do you guys define romance??

Romance is when you no longer try to suppress your farts around him.

My definition of romance: Expressions of love which take effort, are personal and thoughtful.

    • Right! We're on the same page here. No wonder people want to proverbially birth your bastard internet babby.

This guy sounds like a boss cunt.
Move to his country, marry him & bear his children at your first available opportunity...

      • Rack off, ya cunt. Everybody here knows you've got a savage half mongrel for some douchey American bird, but I, for one, find your increasingly optimistic and romantic comments to be sickening.

        *barf*

I think you're projecting, you crazy Aussie tit. "Move to his country." How do you know I'm not talking about someone who lives down the street?

        ;) ;)

    That's really sweet :)

Totally agree :) I'm kinda the same with the idea of driving, too, only I'm avoidant instead of panicky.

I think this sounds nice...I have a driving problem too ...I dont think as extreme as yours but I have some anxiety. I always find it touching when my bf goes out of his way for me. Or does things because its what I like...
I also love that he puts up with my quirks and I put up with his ♡

I've taught a couple of dozen people to drive cars, mostly gals. I've never thought of it as particularly romantic or as a path to romance. It's just something I seem to do well and enjoy doing. Now, on the other hand, teaching a girl to drive the boat? Now that's definitely romantic and (hopefully) a prelude to romance.

Its his willingness to deal with her phobia and on top of that accept the fact of her not being able to drive. I been through the exact same thing and im married to that man now.

    • It's not so much the teaching me to drive thingy, it's more like the fact that he would be willing to put up with me acting like a crazy person. I think it's vastly more romantic to spend the time required to hold my hand and talk me through my irrationality, than it is to say, spend 10 minutes buying me some kinda fancy jewelry. You must know about romance- you're a crusty old fart that scored with a 20 year old. So what's the most romantic thing that you've ever done???

Good question. I don't actually think of myself as a romantic; I just love women. So I do whatever I can to make them want to be around me, like shower once a month, whether I need it or not! No really, I don't have an answer for you, I'll think about it.
