I'd rather be mad than be sad

Is it normal to want to feel mad instead of sad...my families getting on my nerves. im really different from them. and i laugh at their jokes and they dont laugh at mine. they treat me like a fucking kid, like im gona do everything i do wrong. like today, when i was gona go out on new years they fucked my plans up so im babysitting. i want to feel madness over sadness.

I've been angry before, once I was angry for about five minutes, but then I got over it. I couldn't imagine being angry all the time, but I have had depression to the point were almost any other feeling, even pain felt better than my baseline.

Dude... loads of "kids" are different to their parents!

You're sense of humour may not be theirs, your way of acting may seem childish in their eyes or you may just be delusional. It doesn't really matter as long as you act like yourself. Fuck everyone else.

If you had distinctive plans for new years then that's tough shit on your parents. They should find someone else and you should tell them that.

If you feel mad then that's normal. If you feel sad that's normal. Act out on your emotions ,don't punch them or anything, but if they are abusing you then get angry.

HOWEVER, if it's just because you are different then accept your differences and move on. It's just the way of life. No need to get frustrated or angry because of it.

It's normal to want that feeling of anger. It helps us feel stronger, but it's usually just covering the sadness.
