Oh and I am incredibly ashamed of myself for doing it. Is that normal? I hear most people do it for attention.

    Instead of cutting yourself, you should seek help from someone close to you or a therapist and confront the memories. If you do, maybe you can finally put those memories to rest.

    I didn't cut as then you had to clear up blood me and a close friend used to burn though using lighters
