I had been called ugly all my life until 9 grade, and now when people say I'm pretty,or hot , I really thing they're joking, I really don't want to hear them..it's annoying, you guys think it's normal?

The other kids were either lying, jealous, or you were not as appealing back then but you've blossomed into a beautiful young lady.
Yeah, keep covering your ears and thinking you're ugly. That's great for your self-esteem.
Seriously, I bet you react like that because the person complimenting you makes a big deal about it, and continues to praise you to show you they're being sincere.
Like another person said, grow up. Stop fishing for compliments.
I can sympathise, whilst growing up I was never found to be 'attractive' but now my boyfriend can't understand why I don't believe he finds me attractive. It's a self esteem thing. just remember your appearance changes a lot when you grow up and you're probably very attractive now!!

I think you've just been so conditioned you might be afraid that they are just messing with you. You really should take the compliments people give you and just go with it.
