I cant stand some noises

When people are eating or drinking or doing anything with their mouths around me I get extremely stressed out. I dont want to sound dramatic but it has really impacted my life. I could never have worked an office job for this reason. It even effects my relationship with my kids. It made me drop out of highschool. Its such a deep pet peve I could never get over it. Its like sensory overload. People dont seem to understand and theres no polite way to tell someone their smacking bothers you.

My parents found it deeply insulting that I would get up and walk away when they came in the room with food. They would ridicule me by saying "ohhh no god forbid someone chew. He cant take it yall". I had to do a week training with a body builder supervisor before, he literally ate every hour, and it was fuckin todture

I absolutely HATE lip smacking! I don't understand how many grown adults still chew their food like 5-year-olds and don't realize the obnoxious loud smacking noises they're making. Didn't anybody ever teach them to chew with their mouths shut?

I have also always loathed the "shhh" noise. I physically cringe even when a commercial on TV or a song on the radio uses it, and always HATED it when teachers in school would constantly do it, as well as people with babies who just try to out-shush the baby when it obviously isn't working and seems to only be pissing off the baby even more. I've seen people do it to the point of nearly spitting in the baby's face, and honestly the baby is probably only screaming louder because of their shit breath.

Black people and christian people are the worst smackers. If you ever go out to eat with the church group you'll see what I mean.

I too am sensitive about sounds. I get bothered by shit all the time that no one else hears until I point it out like neighbours talking loudly etc. And I absolutely cannot stand people eating and drinking loudly. As a kid I couldn't stand peoples eating-noises and talking with food in their mouths to the point where I couldn't eat anywhere but at home. At school i'd always throw my food away and it would annoy everyone but I got so disgusted by my fellow classmates eating.

I know. Even when they are talking to you you can hear it in their mouth.
