I cant stand my girlfriend's kid

The kid acts like a brat so you determine she's being abused?? WTF? You fuckin' pacifiers make me want to vomit.

It would be handy to know her her age.

If she is behaving in such an aggressive way, it makes me wonder what she might have witnessed between her mother and biological father?

I have worked with children with behavioural problems and have foud that either there has been violence/aggression at home or a child feels pushed out when someone new is introduced into their lives, meaning a partner to either the mother or father. Especially in younger children.

Mind you, from your comments, the dad sounds like he is intent on causing trouble for you, and is using his child in the process. What a nasty piece of work he is!

My point is...it's always a little iffy when the mother doesn't get custody of the child. I'm guessing the problem is the mother not the child. What's the story there I wonder

The father is using the girl for revenge. Its sad and he will ruin her life. You should try to get her mom to get some counselling for her or have the custody arrangments changed. You'll probably get along better if she gets to know you without her father telling her to be mean to you all and her life will be better for it!

I think the mother really needs to show her its not okay for certain behavior. or it probably wont work out because shes a mother for life. You could help by suggsting creative things to do and really try to solve why the little girl is beaving theway he is maybe she is hearig that your the reason her family is broken up and feels like you took her mom. it might be good for her mom to sit her down and talk to her about you guys dating and that sorta stuff.

That's messed up. As much as you can't stand that kid, its not her fault. Wait.. How old is she? But still, that dad of hers need a swift kick in the nads and your girlfriend needs to make that kid realize who's in charge. Uh-oh. Holidays are coming. Tell that kid that santa hates her and put a terd in her stocking for x-mas (assuming you celebrate it) or give her strictly gibblets on thanksgiving, and make her eat it out of a dog bowl. Tell her this is how you make your mommy feel when you misbehave.

OP, it isn't going to work out. I do hate to be a bearer of bad news, but unless this kid ceases to exist or the mother puts her foot up the kid's ass and stops the hellish behavior, things aren't going to change. My advice is to move on. Other people's kids are life ruiners.

Normally I don't advocate the hitting of female children by an adult male. In this case I think we can make an exception.

The daughter is 8. I cant sit down and talk to him because he is always threatening to knock my teeth out or break my neck. Thats just how he is. I can imagine what it would be like in person. He thinks she left him for me but the truth is she was miserable and leaving him anyway. So yeah he really hates me. He has even gone so far as to to call my mother and my own 9 year old daughter bitches and he dont even know them.

When the kid runs next to you then show him who is the boss by putting your feet in front of him "accidentally" to make him fall! It is not just educational for him but also fun for you. If you are good then also can yell to him like "see what you did? Why do you have to run all the time" (take care to make it look like an accident or else you can be in trouble)

The child is being abused, you might not like the sound of that, but it is true. She is not being guided and shown the true way to happiness is through kindness. You sound kind why don't you show her the way.
