Agree with chewablegum. They're not sad films. Titanic, for one, is hilariously bad. I think Billy Zane's character is intensely irritating and clearly someone else in the cinema thought so too. When Billy Zane says, condescendingly, "Now, you moron!" someone at the back shouted, "Fuck off, you posh twat".

I have no idea what Billy Zane said next because everyone was laughing too hard.

If you want a sad film, I'll happily recommend one.

I'm exactly the same way! I have never cried over a movie and all my friends swear that i don't have a heart. I mean all i can think about is that it's just a movie.

It's just a movie. Now, if you don't cry during those oprah episodes where you are supposed to then you are in trouble lol actually I'd rather cry at a movie, not really. IF you cry when the ho gets smacked on Springer or when Maury says someone isn't the father even though the baby momma is one million percent sure then you have problems.

You have to feel the characters and put yourself in their shoes! The only way to truly enjoy a movie. If I can't do that, the movie is hardly worth watching.

I don't cry in movies- in fact sometimes I end up laughing- totally ruins the mood. I have once cried when reading a book, when I found out Dumbledore died... :(

Yes you are right. Those books were powerful like that. You could go from almost wanting to cheer to crying in a mere 20 pages or so.

It's normal... I every time I watch Titanic too... It just means u can relate to the movie or u think it's beautiful & romantic... There is nothing like forbidden love to turn on the water works.

Watch the Fox and the Hound, you will cry like a little girl.

If not, then you can conclude that you have no soul ;) jk

I wish i had that problem. I am so emotional as it is. Women are always told they are so overlly emotional. I wish my mother raised me like a dude. it dodnt happen. I am raising my kids a little rougher on the edges than i see some people to do. I think you "problem" is a blessing.

Yup it is, I have seen people die around me and have had to learn to have a tough skin. Just because I am not crying doesnt mean i don care.

    Yes it is normal.
Some of us have differences in emotional responses than others. I however find it difficult to believe that you didn't at least get a lump in your throat at the end of the movie "Old Yeller."
