I cannot do a vegetarian diet. iin?

Whenever I choose to eat an all vegetarian diet, my appetite goes stark raving mad. After a few days of no real meat, I will fixate on food, binge on everything within a week, and once I have chicken or a steak, relief. I'm normal again. I can't understand how vegetarians survive. I can't go without real protein, or I become functionally useless. IIN?

I'm with you pal. I've got canine teeth for a reason; to tear the meat from the bone!
I'm more into pork and goat than chicken or steak, but this boy's got to have his meat.

    • Yes, 100% yes. I love this Paleo diet. Works fine.

I can't handle being vegetarian either. I need a lot of protein. Whenever I go veggie, I can't seem to get enough protein, vitamin B, stay full, etc. It's too problematic for my health.

  • I went vegetarian recently and I'm adjusting just fine. In fact, I've noticed that, if anything, my appetite is easier to manage. Furthermore, I don't miss meat.

    Some people can't have a non-meat diet. I know that I can't...lol.

There's nothing wrong with it. It IS hard to do.

Got to eat nuts or drink almond milk. I have a few handfuls of tree nuts every day and have never had a problem.

If you don't do the vegetarian diet properly, you won't see the results until about age 50. Then your bones, cardiovascular system, kidneys and liver will begin failing.
A vegetarian diet is a great deal more complicated than just not eating meat, if you wish to be healthy all your life. Most true vegetarians I know (not vegan) spend more time preparing each meal than most of us do fixing all our meals, every day.

As a vegetarian you still have to eat a diet that is well balanced. It's not significantly different from a regular diet. Simply add more beans, nuts, grains, and legumes. You should already be eating lots of fruits and vegetables if you want to feel nice.

There's really not much else to it honestly. Vegetarian or not if you don't eat well you'll feel sick.

That's alright. I guess tofu or eggs would be good alternatives. Lentils, seaweed, and beans are others that would be helpful.

Also beans, tofu, or products containing them. Eggs for non vegans.

That's ok it didn't work out for me either. I'm sure if you researched and tried all sorts of supplements, and made it your life's mission you could do it... But I don't have time for that . I like the idea but I don't feel good on a vegetarian diet.
