I have really big issues with dating anyone younger than me. A girl lied to me one time about her age, and I was just done with that relationship, with that, and a lot of personal reasons. I'm 18 now. I always have to date a girl older than me. Right now I'm dating a girl who is 19, but when I was 12 almost 13 I dated a girl who was 16. For some reason, when I tell people that, they don't have a problem with it, because I wasn't dating a guy.

I'm not sure what the psychological reasoning behind that is.

By the way, I'm a girl.

    It's wrong in both contexts in my opinion. 16 is too mature for 12.

      Exactly. I didn't realize this when I was younger, but now looking back at it, it just bothers me so much that a 16 year old would date a 12 year old kid.

    Ya it's a funny double standard, if an older guy dates a younger girl, he's branded a pedo. If an older girl dates a younger guy he's a stud and she's sexy.

    We have a very serious double standard that discriminates against girls and turns then into instant victims who fear sex.

    The reality is boys and girls both enjoy sex. I'm just referring to consensual relationships, not actual predators who I believe should be killed in horrible ways.

    Its all a matter of preference. I will not be with a man who is younger than me, period. I normaly prefur men a couple years older than me. Same as I will not be with a man unless he is at least half a foot taller than me.

    For some reason, age gap doesn't seem to bad in a same sex relationship... Either way, it's normal. I have a gay friend who only dates younger guys. It's just his preference

      I don't care for your criticism, and ignorance. I could care less what you think. I don't think it's right for someone to go around telling someone they're wrong for which I'm assuming stupid reasons. Are you Christian? If so, you're contradicting your whole faith. In the bible it does say that only god can judge you. If you believe it's wrong for other reasons, I still think you're a royal prick for thinking something is wrong that probably doesn't effect you in any way.

      I guess you're entitled to your own opinion, but I'm still entitled to mine.

      You probably don't understand homosexuality, or believe in misconceptions about it.

      Why do you think it's wrong? I'm really interested in hearing this.
