I can't sleep!!!!!!!

Lately I haven't been able to sleep, I'll stay up until 3 in the morning sitting there doing nothing, and I'm really tired during school. I can't focus on my work anymore! What should I do? Is it normal to have this happen to me??????

Depression can cause insomnia as well as cause you to sleep too much. It something heavy weighing on your mind. Lack of proper sleep causes problems on it own. Figure it out

Well I'm glad that you're feeling better, but just for the future, here's a sleeping tip. I have a lot of problems falling asleep too, basically I just lie in bed for hours thinking about well, everything. I find that counting down from 100 in my head really helps, and you can't just go really fast. Really go through each number, just concentrating on only the number, until you reach zero. You may have to do it more than once, but I always end up passing out by the middle of the second time.

  • I shouldve mentioned that I love to sleep and would take a nap every day if I didn't have so much homework. thank you for the help :) it's gotten much better now... Turns out I was worried about 2 things. Or maybe more
    1) my mom was going to have a baby soon and I didn't want anything bad to happen because she was getting a c-section.
    2) EOC exams. Blech those things really stress me out.
Oh yea, also... I had a bunch of unfinished math homework that I stayed up late doing. Hmm not a good idea. Oh yea another thing, my first period (im 13) Started like a week after that or something. And now it's summer so I get like 12 hours of sleep. Also, my phone kept distracting me so I didn't mess with it. I'm all better now. No depression, no thyroids, just anxiety. Thanx tho :):):)

Hmmm... You said sit there... Have you tried getting into bed and laying down? It sounds silly but sometimes it's that easy.

we all suffer from insomnia once in awhile. everyone above gave good advice. not being able to sleep is a symptom, so you need to discover the problem, such as, do you have a new prescription, and this is a side effect? or is something troubling you? at any rate, there are lots of good things to do in order to help you sleep. google it for tons of suggestions. hope you sleep well tonight:)

You could have a thyroid problem you should talk to a doctor about it

  • You might have some depression, it's possible to not be aware of what's causing it. Especially if you're a woman like me lol. Just take some alone time and go over what all has been happening lately.

Another thing you could be suffering from is minor insomnia, on the other hand. It's a sleeping disorder.
