I can't see nobody with my eyes closed (not what u think, please read)

For some reason, along with backwards playing music, the phrase "I can't see nobody with my eyes closed" scares me beyond all explonation. Even thinking about this phrase makes me feel really unsafe, I start sweating, my eyes tear, and I get nausea really bad. I think it's from a childhood nightmare, where I was strapped to the bed, and some demon strapped me to the bed and played this on the radio. There's no results in google for the phrase, but there's lots that are close. Does this phrase affect anyone else at all? Or does anyone else have a phrase that unnerves them? (great, I'm not going to sleep now im thinking about it)

When you're afraid of something don't run away, just attack head on. Record that phrase and keep playing it over and over again till it has the effect of hi on you.

It's probably because one is so vulnerable when they can't see anything, unless you're used to it (being blind). Not seeing anything, being something then unknown, is always a scary thing since you don't know if anything dangerous can pop up. Not sure if it helps but to me, that fear makes sense.

We are hardwired to fear the dark because our caveman ancestors had to fend of nocturnal animals. We also fear being alone because we are social organisms.

Believe it or not, that phrase does have an effect on me o_O I have no conscious memory of hearing it before, but... yes, it unnerves me. That phrase, and the whole scene you described, sound like something out of one of the rare horror films good enough to actually scare me..
Backwards playing music creeps me out too. I don't know whether it's just my imagination or random deja vu, but there DOES seem to be something familiar about what you described..

Huh. It seems familiar to me, too. I don't get really freaked out, but... now I'm a little paranoid.
