I can't get hired

I been looking for a job since I was 15 years old and now I'm 21 years old and still can't find a job.
I have requested around my hometown and the area where I was studying, more then a few times, I also got asked if I wanted a job at gamestop but I couldn't at the time I ran out of "resumes". Anyways, I'm starting to look for a job around the area where I go to college now and it got a bit more complicated, especially 'cause I'm applying online.
One thing I have noticed, is that you need experience for everything (even to require it), and that's also one of the things I don't understand. How am I suppose get experience if they want an employee with experience already?
Also most of my other friends have jobs, but just 'cause they have family members that know people or just 'cause their families own a shop/business.

"I also got asked if I wanted a job at gamestop but I couldn't at the time I ran out of 'resumes'. "

Sorry but what kind of shitty excuse is that? Go and print more. Or hand-write one, even.

Anyway, it can be tough when so many jobs require prior experience. Retail is usually much more forgiving in this regard. Oh and service jobs like fast food / coffee shops etc. or telesales.

    3. Work for yourself
    4. Meet people in the field
    5. Get noticed for what you do

Dont aim so high. It's just a college job. You don't need any experience to work in fast food or at a grocery store.

Even though it's a pain have you thought about volunteer work? Not much maybe 3 days a week, it's something to put in your resume and it's a reference number,

There are also free online courses recognized as level1-2 in customer service etc, it's all about getting stuff on your resume, in fact it was volunteer work that landed me a job in the end

Have you tried volunteering (to lead to employment)? Thats how i got my first job- at a library. And staffing agencies? I've signed up for one and get work at least every other week- it's mostly fill-in/temp work but better than nothing..

To me it sounds like you really aren't committed to finding a job. With any entry level position, job experience is hardly a factor- in fact, it's easy to be considered unemployable if you are overqualified. The thing is, there are a lot of people applying for these jobs. The key is to illustrate that fact that you are motivated; don't just submit an online application! Follow up; speak to the manager. If they know you are the type of person that is really interested in doing the work and follows up, shows up, and puts in the effort to connect with people- then getting the job will be cake! Like most things in life, a little extra effort goes a long way.

You need experience at a retail job? Try that, that's what a lot of college students do.

You can easily get experience through volunteerism.

  • It's utterly infuriating, I know.

So you can't get a job without experience, and you can't get experience without getting a job. Madness.

Well ...yeah this is the sad fucking truth. Been unemployed since 2010.
Going to start my 7 year long study now in August to get a high education.

Not to be rude, but do you go out seeking work looking like your picture? If so, that could be a huge part of the problem, don't you think? I'm not putting you down, but the first impression employers get is when you walk in the door, and if you don't dress as they expect, you really don't have much of a shot.

Eh I'm not stupid of course I sadly have to adapt to societies "norm"
My issue is that I am such a horrible introvert and nervous in pressed situation.
Normally I don't try to make people like me. An Employer MUST like me.
I can easily just put on some light mascara, put on jeans and use a top that conceals my tattoos but it's my personality that is the issue.

Whilst I'd probably have been far more confident in my natural attire I don't show up like that at interviews.

Neither do I apply for jobs outside email/calls ... Of the simple reason that I'm so fucking nervous that I sound like a complete retard if I even manage to introduce myself.

I also lack experience, social network AND an education at the moment.
Going to fix the education part now thankfully.
