I can't continue like this?

I'm diagnosed with GID, male trapped in a woman's body. Every day I have suicidal thoughts, mostly when I'm in the bathroom, or when I have chest pain from binding with a stupid ace bandage, pain that I have right now. I'm still young, I still look female, and when I bind I never look that flat. Every time I go to the beach I get depressed. I don't know what to do. Can you give me some advice?

I don't know. 16

  • I would live in any body, beside I consider a lifetime as a brief and temporary state.

although if you feel that way then maybe you should start saving for the operations. there's a famous Thai boxer who became a pretty good looking women, so why not.

Find a support group, whether online or offline. Just don't make it this site, because you can already see people telling you what you are and what you cannot be, based on antiquated notions of strict sexual dichotomies. Find people with whom you comfortably talk about these things. Consider seeing a therapist, and though surgery and T-therapy may be expensive, try to find a doctor to discuss these options. Have you told your family?

  • Aye, I can relate. I've always felt I was Abraham Lincoln trapped in....some dude's body.

With any luck, I'll have an operation to elongate my skeleton and grow out a glorious beard with a top hat to boot.

  • Unfortunatly, you'll never be a woman. The closest thing you can be is to get surgery, but even then you'd not be a real woman.

It is unfortunate for people such as yourself, but instead of trying to become something else, try find comfort in your own body.

I think its pretty stupid to say male trapped inside a woman's body, you're genetically a female but you don't feel like a girl. Anyway, donuts.

Um... do you know what grammar is? And how old are you? You should probably get a little more experience under your belt before you can go condemning someone like this, there's more to the world than just your little pocket of the world. Some people have some strange problems.

Look im not condemning anyone. This person has a problem that is evident but the fact it is labled as such is ridiculous. They also a bunch of other names for this. I think someone is trying to tale advatage of these confused people by labling them. You may not see how these fields are conducted but I can give you countless flaws and inconsistacys. You know th they say eggs are bad for you than later say they are good and than next few years change it to bad again? You wish to ignore the sign or maybe the one giving out the signs. So I do not think we should lable them as such.

        • Short&2thepoint

Everything has a label. It just makes things easier to diagnose and help, and very few people "take advantage" of such people, if they want to make changes, that's their own damn business. It's not like anyone's forcing them to do such, and if they do it under pressure, than theyre obviously too stupid to think for themselves in the first place. Sheeple. ( Nicely done on the grammer though)

Just because you have not conformed to the confines of what a female must be in the society you grew up in or still live in, don't confuse this with the meaning that you must somehow be a male trapped in a women's body. You will never know what it is to be a male quite simply because of the fact you are not a male and you never will be. I highly recommend you try and alter your gender-identity rather than your body.

I'd love to know who has thumbed this comment down, seen as I'm currently carrying out a clinical study linked to gender and gender-role I would have a wild guess that I am one of the only people on here that is qualified to actually give you real advice on the subject.

I think you missed the point of what the op said. I'm pretty sure trans people have been dealing with gender identity their entire life. You can't simply tell them they don't understand and they're confusing what means to be a man.

Gender identity is a full spectrum from cross dressing to transitional surgery. Some people are satisfied with cross dressing, some are satisfied with surgery, some are satisfied with only the hormone supplements, some only take part surgery. And I haven't met a single Trans person that regret their decision.

    "A male trapped in a woman's body"?

    ok then.
So are you gay too? I mean if you think you are truly male, then obviously (normally) you'd like women sexually.
So I'll just assume that you're full dyke as well.

So as a male (obviously trapped in a woman's body, which basically also means you see a naked woman everytime you shower, ironically?) The best option would be to increase muscle mass.
When you see women swimmers, they are flat chested, with excellent muscle tone (I wouldn't say pretty as such) but they kinda look male.

To me it seems obvious that its not donuts (that just make you into a fat slob) but strenuous exercise like swimming, that will give you that 'manly' look.

Is this what you are asking? I'm confused too! (about your situation, phew, glad I remembered to put that in before posting)

The other (most) important point about suicidal tendencies. You MUST seek help on this. There are dedicated life help lines that people use to at least talk to others, who have sound advice.
Life is short enough already. If you'd really rather be buried 6ft under, seems a bit sad. I'm glad you mentioned the beach, because please visit all areas before dieing. ie Save and travel to other countries (plane flights are cheap these days) Basically view the world, and do stuff. Even bungee jump, I mean who cares, you want to die anyway! Go deep sea diving. I'd even rob a bank!!! Don't kill anyone though, because THEY probably want to do stuff too.

    Not sure what to say.
    Get muscles (not fat)
Enjoy life (I thought travel, but whatever)
And keep checking out that nude girl in the shower, Lol

        Thanks Short&2thepoint.

I think its because I do put a bit of humor in most of my posts (sometimes subtle) and the 'normal' reference may have been misunderstood.

        Such is life little youngin.

Oh, and that does not make me gay. It makes me straight.

        All good :)

By the way, I've always liked the 'tomboy' type of girl.
Now I know you believe you are trapped and all. But it is a shame, you could have been a real cute girl (without the muscle too)
        Oh well, your choice.

Not necessarily. There are gay transmen, just like there are gay cisgender men.

You are at a really tough spot. I'm sorry that you have suicidal thoughts. This it's what's really depressing to me. Yes you exist in a woman's body but you still exist and that's important. I imagine it would be very hard every day knowing that you're in the wrong body.

I know some friends that bind. I myself have cross dressed once or twice but my b cups aren't that hard to bind. I know some born females do take reduction surgery or take hormone pills. If that's too extreme certain upper body workouts will reduce them and even give broader shoulders.

That is a really hard place to be in but look at least you have a direction to go towards.
I had a boy friend that really desire to be female but he just can't admitt to himself and it has brought him so much guilt and confusion..
I love this man with all my soul. we even have a son together but we cant even be friend anymore because it has his head so twisted that he has done everthing possible to make me hate him from all his hurting me..
    This bad circle of pain...
Bottom line, you except yourself for the most part--
your looks may hurt but at least your hear is warm

You need surgery and therapy. Yes, it may be expensive but what are other alternatives? You have to get the money somehow.
Starting off with therapy should build up your confidence anyway. Also meeting other people in the same situation as you is good.

I'm a litte confused. You were born a woman? Or born a man, with female breast? If either one of two. I suggest you go get a free consultation with a dactor that speclizes in sex change operation...You might just be more happier with finally being able to...be you :)

    Comment Hidden ( show )

    • I was born a woman. We don't have "free consultation" where I live. For operations and such I have to go abroad and I have to pay everything from my own money, the government pays nothing.
