I can smell my step-mom's period

It's never happened before, but today I smelled my step-mom's period. We were in the living room together and I knew it was her period because I'm a girl. I told my dad and he said he didn't smell it when he was around her. Maybe it's because I'm a girl? I don't know. I have an irregular period (I get it only about every two to three months) and I'm wondering if this might induce my period because I've heard that when women live together sometimes their periods synchronize. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal?

    Yeah she should probably change that thing though haha, and I heard that about periods too..I'd be pissed if I got mine because of her!

    Periods can smell, especially if you don't change your pad or bathe. Do you plan to tell her? You could always suggest Always Infinity.

    True sometimes, women who live together can get synchronised periods, but you say that your cycle is usually irregular. I doubt that living with her will change your usual cycle. I used to have synchronised cycles too, but now my periods are very irregular.

    Sometimes periods do smell. It's normal and you know, just one of those ick things.
