I avoid showering for humanistic reasons
But you couldn't tell by smelling or standing next to me.
This little phenomena occurred when I was little and wondered how the homeless people lived without adequate hygiene, and I did an experiment for a week. I went without showering or brushing my teeth. It was a gross experiment (I was 5 years old) but I realized how terrible some people had it. And then, I learned about people who don't have access to running water (was a big shocker for me) and I just couldn't bring myself to shower everyday.
First of all, much more goes into this habit. I am a petite-sized woman who hates sports and excessive movement, I rarely sweat, and I am also quite lazy.
I haven't showered since Wednesday and it's Saturday morning. Since my scalp is kind of bugging me, I think I might jump in. The weird part is, I take very LONG showers. They are 20-30 minutes, under the water bc I have to shampoo twice, shave, exfoliate, and it requires using a gigantic amount of product.
But all in all, I believe that you don't have to shower for a few days unless you smell. Then that becomes a problem in our "modernized" society.
