I am turning my tenant's flat into a maze so he leaves

I own two flats. I live in one. My asshole tenant lives in the other. He is using every legal means to threaten me and I cannot kick him out. I am allowed to modify the layouts of the flat as long as I don't touch any plumbing, gas, or electrical.

Also I cannot block access to any rooms. And I cannot decrease square footage. So I added a room. He is on the ground level. And turned every one of his rooms into a maze with 100cm width (minimum allowed clearance). He is miserable and still has to pay rent on time so I'm waiting for late or no payment of rent so I can finally kick him out.

You're cutting off your nose to spite your face with that bright idea.

I think you're the villain here. If you don't want him to stay, you can make him leave if you give him fair warning first. If you tell him he has to leave 2 months in advance, for example, then there should be no legal repurcussions. It's your property, you are legally allowed to make him leave, you just have to tell him sometime beforehand.

    • I cannot kick him out due to tenant protection laws.

Which law states that you can't give your tenant a couple month warning before ending their contract?

Different countries have different laws about these things so it really depends where the OP lives

That's why I'm asking. Does OP even know of any laws forbidding what I have proposed where they're located?
