I am terrified of the mailbox!

I hate getting mail, absolutely hate it. There could be a check for 5 million dollars someone sent me 3 years ago and I wouldn't know because it has probably remained unopened. Christmas cards, letters, anything, not just bills. I feel so much anxiety that if i get a large stack of it I get chest pains just thinking about ripping open the first envelope. people should just send me postcards! IS anyone else like this

    I'm only afraid of mine because we found a black widow in it once. I enjoy opening letters. It's pretty fun. Have you had a bad experience getting mail before or something?

    a mailbox once tried to rape my car... My car raped it instead.

    I hate it too. I know it won't ever be a loveletter from a stunning girl who secretly admires me or a fat cheque so mostly bills etc.

    Bills will always come, as long as U pay them on time U should be fine.
    Other than that if Ur probably that worried then I suggest U see a doctor better yet a shrink.

    I definitely hate getting the mail because it's annoying to find bills but I think its nice to get cards and stuff.

    That is pretty strange. I understand not wanting bills but I like getting anything else. It makes me feel a little bit of significance in this world to realize that someone else took time out of there schedule to send me something when they didn't have to.

    OK - that's a pretty unusual fear to have. And while not debilitating - it must be inconvenient - maybe see your Dr. for a referral

    Ok...

    I personally don't get that worried when I get mail, but it's probably OK if you do. Why do you feel worried?
    If you're truly concerned about it, go see your GP.
