I am taken by the super epicness of william wallace in braveheart-

I am watching Braveheart. I really really really really really really want to reenact the EPIC scene where Mel Gibson plays William Wallace. Freeeedoooommmmm! Watch the scene. Is that normal?

No no nooo, watch the whole movie! Netflix? Amazon? It is a must see. It triumphs. Tell me you did not feel a stirring drive to suddenly leap into battle, real or dramatized?

"They may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom"

I have goosebumps! That is EPIC. Let's disregard any historical accuracy. Its a movie. Let it be. Where's my sword? Where's my horse? I need blue paint.

I'm pretty sure it's exaggerated. Because the last thing you would want to say before you get your head cut off is "freedom". The whole premise of it seems rather ludicrous to me. You would be more inclined to beg for mercy and scream like a little bitch in such moments of despair.

  • The movie is badass. Say what you want about Mel Gibson, he was probab;y the only one to give the right atmosphere to the movie.

Even as a proud Englishwoman I must admit Braveheart's a stirring film. Highly biased and historically inaccurate, yet moving (though aren't most Hollywood 'historical' films?).
