Nobody deserves to have their life cut short and their friends and family don't deserve it either. Random terrorism can affect anyone going about their normal daily business. Liberalism has nothing to do with it: There have been terrorist outrages in almost every country in the world at different times whether or not the people of those places have espoused liberal values.
So, _crusaids, you are talking nonsense. Further it is also terribly hurtful nonsense which adds to the pain real people who have had their lives ruined by terrorism feel.
This is a time for ordinary people with decent values to stand up and be counted. War is unspeakably horrible, as many people reading this must know. However, I believe that on occasion it is justified. ISIL/Islamic state is a cancer. It must be destroyed, though the human and financial cost will be very high. It cannot be as high as what will almost certainly be the result if it is not done.
You are not safe in the United States any more than we are in Europe. 9/11 could be repeated. You are dealing with very intelligent terrorists who are highly motivated and who think they have time on their side. They are more than willing to give their lives to their cause, and by now they are very wealthy essentially because of gangsterism. This makes them a dangerous enemy, and your complacency in believing that this is Europe's problem and not the US's could prove to be your undoing.

This is common knowledge, and absolutely true.
It is why I have always been so opposed to getting involved in any Middle Eastern country's internal strife, especially Iraq. WE gave Iraq to Al-Qaeda; Saddam Hussein would not allow them in his country at all.
I've been saying this stuff for over 2 years and most seem to think it's liberal bullshit. In fact, it is NOT. Ronald Reagan created Al-Qaeda, plain and simple.
Now we are supporting Al-Qaeda in Syria and fighting them in Yemen; isn't that nuts??????? Giving them the weapons to fight Assad, but then they ship them to Yemen.
We have done the same thing in Cuba, Central America and Southeast Asia. Over and over again, we create our own enemies. And you want to know why? Because war is good for business for the 1%. They don't give two shits how many of America's young men die or are maimed as long as their profits soar. They own the companies that produce the war materiel. The weapons, the machinery, the rations, the airplanes, and the bullet proof vests that didn't even work, at the beginning of the invasion of Iraq. Selling bullet proof vest to the American military when they knew they were no good! And not one single 1%er went to jail as they collected their millions from the Pentagon, at the cost of so many young men's lives.
Unfortunately, I am not the raving lunatic so many on here would like to believe I am. Would that I was, so none of this would be true, and those in power weren't selling the lives of American youth solely for the bottom line of a few already very, very wealthy men.
