I am so scared of getting a pap test it isent even funny! my gram was telling me that your feet have to go up in the air and it is really uncomfortable. I keep thinking about it and every time I do, i feel like crying. I dont think I will ever bring myself to get one!

I just had my first one 4 days ago. It wasn't painful, but I had a hard time relaxing and the plastic piece made it uncomfortable. My doc used a lot of lubrication though which made it better. I never had to put my feet in the air. I bent my knees. All I can suggest is relax. It took less than a minute. You'll live.
You are building it up to be more significant than it needs to be.
People will always come out and tell you about what was uncomfortable or undesirable, because that's what sticks with you--but it's a standard procedure that most females get at some point.
Uncomfortable? Probably. But it's not like you'll be getting this test on a weekly basis or something--once you get it over with, I'm sure you will realize that it was not nearly as bad as you imagined. And on the off chance it is--at least it will be over with.
It is uncomfortable but not painful and if you remember the doctor does pap tests all day everyday. You have nothing he hasn't seen before. Relax it only takes a minute and it is all over. Imagine how bad it would be if you had cervical cancer because you never had a pap test.
Totally normal. I just had my first one this past month. If it's any comfort to you, it only take not even five minutes and you hardly feel a thing. Once you go you'll be like... that was it? That's how I felt. I was shaking and about ready to chicken out and run for it, but I went and I'm glad I did because I learned how easy it is.
It's really not that big a deal. It's not painful or even very uncomfortable, it's just a slight weird feeling. Don't worry. Get tested, it's really important!
