I am sexually excited by the action of halfway breaking things.

Is it normal? So, I'm not even quite sure what to call this, and I'm hoping I found the right category. Ever since I was about 16 or so, I began noticing that, for a long time, I'd had a fascination with halfway breaking things so that they looked broken, but they were still able to function (keyboards, lamps, window units, appliances, YOU NAME IT). Inclusive of this were things like unscrewing wall plates and doorknobs so that they were loose, but still usable.

It's now morphed into enjoying living in an atmosphere where my surroundings are like that (cracked alarm clock, dirty baseboards, paint peeling here and there, ceiling fan has no globe for the light).

Recently, I've begun paying more attention to this, and I realize when I break a little item here or there, or I take things apart to the point where they look aesthetically unkept, I get horny as a result. For example, I have an attic access door in my room, and I randomly had the urge to halfway pry the trim around the door away from the ceiling, and after doing so, I was hard downstairs.

On a side note, I should tell you I'm in no way a low-life. I have excellent personal hygeine, I'm a healthy individual in a wonderful boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, and I make As and Bs in high school. I'm lost, everyone. I've attempted to research this online and I can't seem to find any info about it. Please share your opinions with me, and maybe I won't be the only one who has this strange urge to do this. Thanks for helping me out!

Sounds like there is a lot of psychology involved in this. My thoughts are that maybe you have parents who are anal about excellence or are perfectionists or your life is always unreasonably happy...perhaps you are very, very good looking? Specific things like that could possibly leave you excited by imperfect things. In a way, it's almost a temptation.

Additionally, it sounds like you don't necessarily only enjoy the end result, but the act of breaking these things as well. Therefore, I would imagine you have some sort of built-up resentment and taking it out on objects is a way in which you aren't harming any real person AND seeing these objects/items/things a little damaged gives you some sense of satisfaction. Almost like vengeance. For instance, if you call a woman you despise a fucking cunt and it doesn't effect them, it may bother you because they are unphased by your attempt to hurt them. Obviously, with laws, you can't go punch that woman in the face, assuming you are a man. With an object, oppositely you aren't going to call it a fucking cunt, but you CAN punch it and not only that, it's gratifying because unlike the person, you can see the long-lasting impact you've had on it, and you know that you've damaged it- which is what you might have wanted for the aforementioned woman.

Bottom line, maybe you hurt or have been hurt and it was never addressed and, in response, you hurt other things.

Maybe I'm totally off, but people don't do what you're doing without some underlying reason. Horders, for example, horde because they can't let go, or for other hundreds of reasons.

My mother dated someone when I was a boy, and his son would punch holes in walls and spit loogies in the sink and leave them sitting in the bowl of it there. Obviously, he had some aggression problems, but when I look back I see that his dad was quite the hard ass. If he felt he couldn't attack his father, but wanted to, these were possible ways of acting out. Though that's considerably different, there are some similar concepts as far as him wanting to punch the wall of a perfectly fine door.

Your parents must be going crazy. My mom is OCD and would literally murder me if i did what you described to my room. LOL.

Do you happen to like post-apocalyptic or used universe movies as a result? I would think all the run down sets and gear would be exciting to see

If the internet has taught me anything, it's that there is a fetish for everything. I have never heard of your fetish before, but with 7 billion people in the world, I'm willing to bet there is at least one or two people who share your fetish.

Pretty weird fetish, but whatever, it's not harming anyone so go ahead.
