I haven't been outside for at least a year now. I am even scared of opening the back/door. I always have my shopping delivered and will never go to parties or anything. Is this normal?
You're a perfectly normal Agoraphobic.
This is your norm. It is also a disorder that is easy to diagnose and extremely difficult to treat to a successful outcome.
Get off this website and call a board-certified mental health professional.
Im agoraphobic too!I can go to school but it take an hour of fighting with my self every morning. After classes I come straight home...im so happy im not alone.
I know this feeling well and as hard as it is, I suggest trying to obtain some help. I am no professional but I would say it's likely you have a social anxiety disorder, agoraphobia or as the case can often be, a combination of both illnesses.
I suffer from SA, I do not answer the phone (I find out who rang and if I know them ring them back), answer the door ever, I very rarely go out alone, I have to have someone to accompany me.
Social situations are a pain for me, I often panic and if someone leaves me on my own, for example, in the middle of a party in a crowded room, I suffer panic attacks.
Please try to seek some help, although I am not fully cured yet, talking about this helps and I'm sure you would benefit from any form of help.

A question: how long is this for? because sometimes i don't want to go out of the house, at all, for ages but i have to because work n stuff, but if it's like more than a year or two then i'm kind of concered for you bro
I'm scared of going outside a lone. A lone on my property is fine, for the most part. I've gotten the mail alone. My big concern is that I'll get shot by the police out of the assumption that I'm a minority and up to no good. There's been a lot of civil unrest and shooting of minorities as of late and I don't want to be a part of that.
Technically you are outside. You just built a house on a piece of "outside." Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh
Question: why are you afraid?
Everyone out in society is just a human being like you who wants to see others succeed. I don't know what else to tell you other than get over your fear.
