I am repulsed by the vanity of young girls!

Okay listen, I was walking the other day when I heard a girl yelling at her mom. Her mom wanted her to come out of the car and walk something like fifty meters to Walmart. When the mom began dragging the girl (who looked maybe 10 or 11), the girl started screaming "NO! I can't go out in the sun! I might get wrinkles!!" This just made me go nuts! She's 11 and already worrying about how she looks! Does anyone else feel like this?

This bothers me too. When I was 11, all I thought about was having fun and being a kid!

the girl is very young and obviously naive... i don't really understand "repulsed by her vanity" i could however understand if u said you were appauled at her ignorance. although thats probably not her fault either. we live in a society that is fueled by fear and children aren't properly educated either. ofcourse she also could have just been being a facetious little b**** as well which would be her fault ;)

I completely agree. I think it's because of dancing. It's so competitive for kids so young. It's really kids worrying about what they eat, how they look, what they where, everything it's crazy. I met a 7 year old who dances with the Australia Youth Dance Theatre (I think, but it was a national dance thing) and she was crazy about her weight. She put her hands around her waist and they where practically touching on both sides. I think dance for kids shouldn't be so competitive. It stops them from being care-free kids.

Tell me about it!! We had some family friends over for Christmas Eve, and they have twin daughters. They come over every xmas eve, and just last year the girls were all vbery excited about Santa, messing around, acting as kids do ect...

This year, these "kids" were unrecognizable under layers and layers of make-up. Their Mum even told me how they had been cutting each others hair and stuff. These girls are 11 and were saying how they would never go out without all their make-up on and such.

Its such a shame to be honest, cos i'm sure we all know that once you get older you just wish you could go back to that more innocent time! Seems like young girls today are wasting that precious time.

lol That just sounds riduculous. But in today's world, were pretty much everything matters on how you look, that little girl was pretty easially influenced. Maybe someone in her family, or a friend warned her about wrinkles and told her that it would ruin her life. But god, her mum should have told her that 11 year olds don't get wrinkles.

      LMAO!
HA HA HA HA HA Wrinkles?! WOW
See thats why ideas like Tots in Tiaras and Little kid fashion shows is NOT a good idea, if that little girl is acting like this at 10 or 11, she is just going to be a arrogant, snooty, spoiled little B**** when she grows up!
