Does anyone REALLY think that someone's racist just because of where they're from? That's racist too. If you judge without knowing anything about their personality... you got problems.
Of course we can't judge if your racist and if someone is calling you racist because your from the south that sound a little racist to me tbh. It's like saying a white person can't talk about white privilege because they are white or that there argument is less valid then if a black person said the same exact thing. That's racist. I can't judge if your racist or not because I don't know you. It's like how I was called a narcissist faicist racist homophobe who doesn't cae about anyone else but white people on here only because I'm white. That's stupid and racist if you think about it. Say that someone's opinions are less valid than yours based on their skin color, where they live, sexual orientation, exc. is like reverse MKL. You are judging someone by the color of their skin instead of by the content of their character. It's not okay for people to do this and I'm really sorry about this I just kind of started ranting. But no, from what I know about you, you are not racist.
Your opinion isn't less valid because of your skin color, where you live, or sexual orientation...it's less valid because of your lack of experience.
A white person doesn't experience racism. A man doesn't experience sexism. A straight person doesn't experience bigotry. (And no, reverse racism and reverse sexism aren't real.) If you have no experience whatsoever in something, your opinion is less valid than somebody who has a lifetime of experience in it.
Let's say you're from the south. (South mean southeastern US in this case.) You go on vacation to Los Angeles and you strike up a conversation with somebody who's lived in LA their whole life. They've literally never left SoCal. So you start telling them about life in the south...the good, the bad, the issues you face everyday...and then they cut you off and tell you how they would solve all of the issues you face and why the bad parts are no big deal and the good parts are all that matter. Again, they've literally never been within two thousands miles of where you live. Is their opinion, on your life, just as valid as yours? Of course not. They don't have your experience. It's the same thing with racism and sexism. You've never been in their shoes, you don't have their experience, your opinion isn't as valid as theirs.
You basically just said you can't be racist towards white people and you can't be sexist towards men... that's some straight up bull shit. The idea of playing the "victim" card doesn't do any good. We live in the freest society every in the history of ever. Saying society is to blame for all your problems is not a good way to live. Honestly your not special, nobody cares if your black or white or gay or transgender. Nobody cares what you do with your life. There is nobody that cares so much about what you do that will make your life miserable because your black. Do whatever the fuck you want with your life because nobody cares. That's the reality of this country and what makes it great. And I actually like the idea of what you said about how a person saying that the bad things are not that bad where you live. It's called encouragement. It's called being happy with what your have. I tell people stuff like that everyday because we are all so lucky to live in the best country ever. We can literally do whatever we want. That's the read I'm allowed to disagree with you. Honestly with people talking you that your the victim of society is not empowering to anyone. What is impowering is the idea that we can do anything we want in life and nobody can come in the way of it. And it's literally so stupid that people care about what other people say about them I mean really? Are you two? Who gives a fuck if someone says your dumb because your black? Okay... just ignore them and move on. And you don't need experience to have a valid opinion on something. Do I have to be a food critic to know that a meal sucks? Do I have to be a music critic to have a "valid" opinion that a song is awful? No. you don't. It's almost the same thing. No, it IS the same thing. So people should stop victimizing themselves and start just not caring what people think about them.
you're probably just trollin', applejack.
just pick your own damn cotton
Social group think is a poor approach to problem solving. I'm sorry you live there.
