I am attracted to my uncle even though he is much older and overweight

This has always bothered me-I have an uncle(by marriage, not a blood relative) and since I can remember I found him very attractive. He is in his late 50s and overweight but you can see he was a good looking man when he was younger and he is happy go lucky and always jolly all the time. I flirt with him sometimes and I find myself creeped out by my own behavior!
I recently realized that several of the guys I have dated or wanted to date have a resemblance to him.Is this too weird or is it normal to have an attraction to an older relative sometimes?

    Finding men that look like him attractive is normal, flirting with him is not.

    It sounds weird but hell, whatever floats your boat. If you're attracted to him then naturally, you'll find males who look like him to be attractive.

      I could handle telling him I think he is good looking but to say Im sexually attracted would come off as really creepy.

        Do the two get along well ? I dont think it would creepy . I think he would be flattered . I know I would .Nothing might happen . You wont know until you tell him .

              Im not going to fry to seduce him or anything. I admire his looks and his charm and that he is always happy. I guess I wanted to find out whether its common for people to be attracted to their older relatives. If he were my age and not married to my aunt of course Id definitely pursue him.

          He gets along with everyone pretty much so yes we get along. He is one of those guys who buys everyone drinks which may be why he is overweight. But that doesn't bother me, in fact if I had to choose Id rather a guy be heavier rather than thinner. Im normal weight but I like cuddly teddy bear types.
          I hope I don't sound like some kind of weirdo lol.

    Age is just a number and even blood uncle/niece things happen so whats the problem? It would make his world to know that you have always found him attractive. Normal is a bullshit lie that needs to be exposed. How one feels and who or what they prefer isn't. Maybe you and Uncle should have dinner sometime and forget about what other people think. Just sayin! ;)

    I am not overweight, but I am over 45. The girls I date are most often between 19 and 23. My current girlfriend is 20. She said I am the best boyfriend she ever had, "You are perfect!"

    The age hang up is cultural. Not only does it not exist in some cultures, but it is reverse in some. There are some places where women in the early 20's commonly refuse to date anyone under 30 or 35. They think men their age are too immature and fool around too much.

    Back locally, I asked one very smart 19 year old on our first date, "Why do you like older men?" She said, "Because they don't expect me to pay." What I learned is that she is attracted to maturity, experience, and a sense of financial security. In a way, she wants to be taken care of because it eases her stress. Age is not part of that, so she happens to find her desired traits in much older men.

    So don't listen to naysayers (usually older women who don't like the younger competition). Date whom you like.

        I am 56 and have a niece that is 21 . I dont think she is sexually attracted to me but I am to her . I dont thing anything will ever come of it . I would be thrilled if she would call and ask if we could go out for drinks or dinner .
