I am afraid of eating mushrooms at the buffet

I love going to the salad bar at our local buffet, but the mushrooms scare me to death. I am so afraid of getting poisoned. What's to stop some customer or employee from adding some poisonious mushrooms to the whole batch? It would be very easy for a customer to do it. All they would have to do is just add a couple of them in and mix it up a bit. This would be the perfect crime if you think about it. Am I the only one who has thought such things. Is there someone else out there who doesn't eat the mushrooms at the salad bar?

    Mushrooms are decomposers: they can eat humans. Fear the mushrooms. FEAR THEM.

    dude Ive worked at a buffet, you're normal! stay away from the mushrooms. that's all I can say.

    I don't even eat mushrooms I by at the store. I don't trust the picker

    Before anyone else make you paranoid about all other food. Just check a nature book to find out what kind of mushrooms grow in your area, find the poison ones and be able to identify em. You'll be surprised how little there are lol so you really don't have much to worry about

    I agree with sportsmom. If you're afraid of mushrooms you might as well be afraid of everything at a buffet because anything can be poisoned.

    What's to stop someone from adding poison to the gravy? Or the salad dressing? Or the ketchup at McDonalds?
