I am 5 foot, 2 inches, 110 pounds, would I be able to do diesel work? I really like trucks and at the one of the Job-corpse I was going to try to sign up for they have truck Mechanics. Someone told me I should try another field because I am small. Mechanics is very useful and needed in a lot of cases though. Is it impossible to do Mechanics for trucks considering my size?

Yes you cant 6

There's some hardcore Freudian conflict going on in your poll options

    You'll be fine.
You'll probably bulk up from heavy lifting on the job & anything TOO heavy will be for with lifting aids, etc.

    You asked "is it possible?"

The options you provided were "yes, you CAN'T" and "no, you CAN". It's a good thing you want to be a mechanic...

*sighs* why does everything have to be so complicated?

how about you deal with a little complication, as the transgender community is dealing with it being 1,000 times more likely for them to be murdered

There are tools to help people of all sizes I mean even older guys have to be able to work on the rigs but I think you will definitely run into some hurdles due to your size. Go hit the gym bud.

    • I been to the gym and I joined gym classes. It all seemed pretty pointless. I dont understand how anyone breaks a sweat. Maybe being skinny means I dont have to work as hard to achieve things though.

If you weren't sweating you weren't working hard enough pretty simple

Small size is a plus for anyone who wants to do mechanical work on a boat. You can squeeze into places us larger guys cannot.
Back when, several of the premier yacht yards had midgets on call just for very tight places (I'm NOT saying YOU are a midget) and though most skilled craftsmen were making $40.00 per hour, the little guys were getting $60 or more. Of course, they were on call not full time, but they did quite well.
Your size probably won't be a hindrance if you want to work on trucks, but it would be a plus in the marine industry.
